SALARY RANGE: $165,000 - $205,000

SUMMARY
The Project Engineer is responsible for developing new UAV systems as well as improve and support our existing ones.
The Project Engineer blends project management and engineering skills (in one or more UAV related design fields).
This enables them to coordinate the work of engineers and other disciplines (procurement, production, test, etc.
), while delivering schedule and budget performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.
Convert business priorities into executable detailed plans, manager engineering projects, update schedules, interface with executive leadership and customers to provide status and determine required plan updates, manage schedule and budget.
Coordinate & leads engineering and cross-functional teams during investigations, design activities, and delivery to production
Generates plans (schedules, budgets) and monitors progress and updates
Leads &/or coordinates SMEs in design reviews and other events, ensuring actions are known and completed
Observe and assist engineering and production teams in resolving issues
Provide regular status of projects to leadership

12+ years project management of engineering/development projects
5+ years' experience in design and project management of UAVs, or systems of similar complexity
2+ years' experience designing and releasing parts for fabrication or production.
Strong people and communication skills
Experience building and executing schedules in Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar
Experience using Microsoft Office 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook)
Able to work cooperatively on a team
Active project management certification (PMP or similar)
Experience with planning and scheduling for DOD projects, including Earned Value Management
Experience creating and working with an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
Experience with Gated design development (PDR, CDR)
Experience with composite part or circuit board design
Experience in 3D CAD, PCB Design, or real time software development
Experience creating production quality engineering drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies
Experience with Solidworks, PDM, or Altium design software
Experience with aircraft design, performance analysis, and/or construction
Radio control or other piloting experience
2+ years' work experience in manufacturing environment
