Looking for a 4th bookkeeper for our office with extensive accounting knowledge.
You will be in charge of assisting various clients with their bookkeeping and accounting needs.
You MUST have prior knowledge of accounting financials and know how to handle different accounting issues that come up with each client.
Our clients have so many different accounting scenarios that you must be able to work through with ease and know how to assist clients in what they may be doing wrong.
Quickbooks knowledge is required or you need to have comprehensive training in another professional bookkeeping system that allows you to transfer that knowledge to Quickbooks use easily.
We cannot train you in Quickbooks.
Payroll laws including but not limited to overtime, sick, vacation, payroll taxes, quarterly and annual filings are a plus.
Our office is very tech heavy so you need to have good computer skills, understand e-mail systems, have good grammar, and know how to use MS Office.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Assist with multiple clients bookkeeping and accounting needs
Balance and maintain accurate ledgers for multiple client accounts
Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances
Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
Prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns - payroll, sales tax and property tax
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Responsible for misc admin skills, including e-mail, answering phones and scanning
Responsible for attending events to promote our growing business - commission available for all clients you bring into the firm
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Required: 2 years of Bookkeeping experience
Desired: 5 years of Bookkeeping experience
Education:
Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Desired: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Certified Bookkeeper courses completed
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks
Experience in services related to payroll such as writing checks and submitting payroll taxes
Strong understanding of sales and property tax worksheets and computations
Friendly and professional verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of various overtime, vacation and sick policies
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Must be independent - great time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate or ask for help when appropriate
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Displays a positive attitude and passion for serving our clients
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.
00 - $60,000.
