*Requirements* We are actively seeking an accomplished and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Controller to become an integral part of our esteemed ESOP-owned CPA firm, Glenn Burdette.
If you are a seasoned financial professional with a proven track record, this is a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to our financial operations and strategy.
Your expertise will play a vital role in shaping the continued success and growth of our firm.
*Responsibilities:* * Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Oversee all financial aspects of the Firm, including accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and payroll.
* Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
* Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
* Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial performance against budget.
* Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial processes.
* Manage compliance with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations and tax obligations relevant to CPA firms.
* Manage the administration and communication of the ESOP, ensuring compliance with ESOP regulations and reporting requirements.
* Ensure compliance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and applicable privacy and data protection regulations.
* Collaborate with the executive team on strategic initiatives.
* Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, ensuring the firm's compliance and competitiveness.
* Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including financial institutions, insurance agents, and software vendors.
*Qualifications:* * In-person position.
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred.
* Experience with ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) strongly preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience within professional service organizations comprising over 100 employees.
* Income tax compliance experience.
* Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to contribute to organizational growth.
* Ready to take initiative, roll up your sleeves and handle tasks proactively within the role.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Bachelor’s Degree.
