Overall Goal of Position:
Provide leadership for all financial and process support in our Plant while embracing, promoting, and building OurRecipe@SauerBrands.
Job Summary: The Plant Controller is a key leader on the plant leadership team.
This position contributes to all areas of plant management and provide strong financial leadership.
The Plant Controller is responsible for planning and coordinating plant budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices.
The person in this role will provide financial direction to the plant and provide recommendations to improve site performance.
The Plant Controller will work with corporate finance and accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate financial conditions of the plant and must be able to communicate clear and concise facts comfortably.
The successful candidate will be process oriented and data driven, working to provide accurate and timely financial conditions of the plant.
In this role, the candidate will utilize root cause analysis to identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy as well as improving the financial condition of the plant.
As a Sauer Brands team member, the candidate will execute special projects, initiatives as assigned, accept safety as a condition, and support factory operations.
Furthermore, the candidate must embrace and support the building of Our Recipe at Sauer Brands.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Financial Reporting • Implement internal and external financial reporting systems, controls, and procedures according to contractual requirements and GAAP.
• Manage weekly expense reporting including A/P and expense analysis • Generate daily, weekly and monthly financial metrics on plant performance • Ensure that financial information is communicated timely and accurately • Collaborates with Plant Manager, corporate accountants, and senior management to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead the development of complex analysis • Direct all Plant-wide financial activities, including budgeting, expense analysis, and inventory management • Analyze and report daily, weekly and monthly KPI's and set monthly spending goals.
· • Inventory Accuracy • Manage Sauer Brands’ Cycle Count Program • Ensure compliance in all facilities • Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reporting and analysis • Assist with corrective actions and root cause analysis related to inventory variances.
• Track the implementation of corrective actions and their effectiveness.
• Monitor and report on obsolescence • Audit physical inventory policies and procedures under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer and in compliance with best practices • Manage and oversee physical inventory counts and reconciliation at multiple locations on multiple dates per year as directed by the Chief Financial Officer.

, process improvements, financial modeling, and procedures changes • Monitor and implement plant internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks • Estimate product costs to support BU quoting activities • Manage the Plant’s capital budgeting, capital leasing and the CAPEX budgets.
• Participate in the training and implementation of Sauer’s SOPs related to inventory management and accomplish key strategic initiatives including job costing and a perpetual inventory system.
Performance Standards (the criteria used to evaluate performance): • Financial Reporting Accuracy • Inventory Accuracy • Development, Documentation and Execution of a Cycle counting program.
