*Job Summary*
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team.
This position is hybrid and can use office space in Santa Maria or Paso Robles.
The Accountant processes and records assigned financial transactions in the general ledger.
Provides both administrative and financial support in a corporate environment by processing daily, monthly, quarterly and year end procedures and functions to make sure the office operates smoothly, accurately, and effectively.
*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:*
* Compile regular financial reports (operating statements, general ledger updates, etc.
) to support the Finance Department.
* Prepare and Process Grant Invoices with support for assigned Grants.
* Develop collaborative partnerships with staff, consultants, auditors, vendors, and service providers to establish and maintain effective accounting operations, share information, resolve problems, and maintain professional links.
* Track receipt of Daily Deposits from Clubs, print and process for Staff Accountant to input.
Once received back, review for accuracy and post.
* Support audit/prepare WP’s.
* Assist in the maintenance of accurate and timely financial records by entering, processing and reconciling transactions in accordance with established procedures and formats.
* Assist in the processing of all financial transactions and reports through administrative systems, consistent with policies and procedures.
* Maintain close daily contact with supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues and explain guidelines/instructions.
* Verify Payment of invoices associated with Accounts Payable and ensure payments are charged to appropriate accounts.
* Asset Management to include Additions, Disposals, Depreciation.
* Reconcile GL Accounts to Statement of Activities and Balance Sheet Monthly.
* Manage and Reconcile Fixed Assets to GL Monthly.
* Conduct Annual Review of Physical Inventory (Fixed Assets).
* Responsible for pulling grant documentation and paystubs for grant reports and invoicing, scanning, and filing of Finance materials on the Share drive.
* Assist with Club events.
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:*
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or business administration.
* A minimum of two years of accounting experience
* Thorough knowledge of accounting practices, processes and procedures of non-profit organizations.
* Sage Intacct experience preferred
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace required
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong time management
* Ability to interact professionally with Club staff, Board members, volunteers, and other related agencies.
