General Accountant

Job Summary: You will be a key member of our team, responsible for helping to oversee day-to-day accounting operations for multiple entities and ensuring timely month end close and reporting.
This position requires a team player with excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and the flexibility to assist as needed in a growing company.
Responsibilities: · Update fixed asset software monthly · Monthly review of general ledger for accuracy · Calculation and invoicing of monthly fees · Prepare and post journal entries · Ensure transactional synching in QuickBooks · Assist in accounts payable and receivable cycles · Bank reconciliations · Assist with monthly farming cost postings · Reconcile gl accounts · Assist with a variety of business analytic projects and spreadsheets · Various other day-to-day and monthly accounting tasks as required, support the Team with special projects and annual audit, and assist in development and implementation of new procedures and structures to enhance the workflow of the Accounting and Finance department.
Qualifications: * Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, Accounting degree preferred, accounting experience required * Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task and shift gears * Attention to detail and ability to follow through with projects to meet deadlines * Proficiency in Quick Books, Microsoft Excel with practical work experience in both * Experience in the wine industry and with winery software helpful * Ability to work as part of a team but the capability to complete tasks independently What we offer: · Competitive compensation package with generous benefits package including health and 401k Job Type: · In office in San Luis Obispo · Full time, Salary Exempt Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.
