Finance Manager

*Job Summary*
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager will assist with the day-to-day accounting department’s operation.
The individual in this position must possess great attention to detail, strong financial acumen, and be capable of working within a dynamic environment.
*Duties and Responsibilities*
* Record daily sales and daily banking transactions
* Process accounts receivable payments and bank deposits
* Manage inventory movement, tracking, recording, and forecasting
* Post biweekly payroll journals
* Review accounts payable with management and record to General Ledger
* Process accounts payable weekly check runs, maintain vendor files, and handle vendor inquiries
* Manage incoming Accounting Department mail
* Month-end close responsibilities: bank reconciliations, inventory reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and employee reimbursements
*Requirements*
* Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures with experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, and month-end close processes
* Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office applications and Accounting software systems
* Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
* Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently, maintain high accuracy, meet tight deadlines
* Must be able to multitask and perform required duties with minimal supervision
* Show initiative in recognizing problems and proposing solutions
* Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
* Willingness to learn and be a strong team player
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manner
