The Accounting Specialist will support and manage daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks.
As a critical member of the Accounting/HR department, you will use accounting procedures to support the financial operations of the Company.
You will assist the Accounting/HR department with recording daily transactions, updating financial records, generating financial reports, reconciling accounts, and assist in other core department financial reporting needs.
*Essential Functions* * Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the analysis and reporting of financial data, and accurate recording of general ledger and subsidiary ledger transactions.
* Responsible for the accurate and timely entering of accounts payable invoices.
* Manage the accounting email inbox to address accounts payable and accounts receivable requests.
* Assist in the sales support function to create credits and invoices as requests are made * Responsible for posting virtual credit cards, processing payments * Work with customers to resolve any potential issues that arise with payments.
* Work closely and effectively with sales support to reconcile customer disputes.
* Contribute to bi-monthly payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate employee time and payroll policies.
* Assist with the maintenance of HR documents.
* Follow data management processes for maintaining online financial documents.
* Assist with month-end, quarterly and annual closing activities.
* Perform general office duties, such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence.
