Robert Half is currently working with a client looking for a Purchasing Agent.
The Purchasing Agent will be responsible to work and negotiate with suppliers to purchase goods and services for the company.
As the Purchasing Agent you will be processing purchase orders, in addition to locating suppliers and researching goods, services and materials.

Responsibilities:
- Assess and compare suppliers, goods, and services
- Own relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
- Design and organize purchase orders
- Research supplier profiles and analyze offers
- Develop and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures, etc.
)
- Manage records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments
- Suggest cost proposals and negotiate contracts and prices
- Track inventory levels and decide on purchase needs
Qualifications:
- Skilled in communication and negotiation
- Must be very organized and skilled in documentation
- Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and inventory management software programs
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position
