Job Summary
This is a part-time position of ~24 hours per week
Act as the first point of contact for the department; greet and provide assistance to faculty, students, and guests with general information; answer, screen, and forward phone calls; and check and respond to department email.
Prepare, proof, edit, and disseminate department correspondence and announcements.
Coordinate mail services and process and distribute mail.
Process gift receipt forms and donor acknowledgment letters.
Provide support for department majors and minors.
Compile and update schedules for office hours, faculty rosters, and instructors' schedules.
Maintain inventory and order office supplies.
Assist with the use of office equipment; maintain office machines in good working order and coordinate service when needed.
Assist with faculty recruitments, guest speaker support, department events, and other special projects or special events as needed.
Provide administrative support for processing a variety of student information, including tracking and processing student paperwork and ICMAs; and updating and mailing a variety of student documents.
Education and Experience High school diploma or its equivalent.
Three years of general office support experience.
Education may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for six months of experience.
Salary: Anticipated Hiring Range: $19.
26 - $21.
19 per hour Classification Range: $19.
26 - $28.
