- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to own our Print-on-Demand (POD) technology for publishers, Kindle Enterprise Publishing (KEP) for POD.
Our EPXP team is in sunny San Luis Obispo, CA, co-located with our File Ingestion Experience (FIX) team.
Key job responsibilities
In this role you will invent, design, and build technology across the entire book publishing process.
As a full-stack engineering leader on EPXP, you will take on challenges in bulk content ingestion, the KEP publisher web portal, reporting, and Look Inside the Book (LITB).
You will be responsible for contributing to the team's roadmap, improving the team's development process, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with a diverse group of business and technical partners to shape the future of our technology.
About the team
Our team builds the end-to-end services required to ensure that books never go out-of-stock, enabling the printing and shipping of books immediately after orders are placed.
We strive to provide an experience that is powerful, yet simple to use and accessible to all.
This role will help design and engineer the future of the book industry.
We focus on building tools that enable publishers to publish high quality paperback and hardcover books, reaching readers all around the world.
By providing an excellent set of tools for our publishers we will help their works reach more readers.

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
The base pay for this position ranges from $134,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
