We are hiring Rockstars to join our Sauer Brands team! Overall Goal of Position: This position is responsible for managing the document control process for the Spice Business Unit and helping to make OurRecipe@SauerBrands: Job Summary Develops, writes, and edits material for product specifications, manuals, work instructions, policies, procedures, raw ingredient specifications, lists, forms, and related technical and administrative publications, and controls changes in company documents and Bills of Materials.
This position reports to the CBU Supply Chain Manager and supports the Spice Business Unit.
Key Duties and Responsibilities • Oversees the Engineering Change Request/Order process.
Catalogs and tracks assigned open action items through project completion and obtain required approvals to incorporate approved changes for Bills of Materials and controlled documents.
• Integrates process changes within the company operating system by creating & maintaining Bills of Materials, Item #s, and production detail as needed.
• Provides New Item Setup to include assignment of Product Universal Product Codes (UPC), Global Trade Item Number (GTIN#(s)) and new Item Number assignment at all Product levels as well as Bill of Material (BOM) creation, maintenance through obsolescence providing system traceability through ECR/O process.
Responsible for setting up Product Routings, Production Area, and sourcing templates.
• Responsible for Product Discontinuation Process, identifying unique item components and remaining dollar value and document archiving via ECR/O Process.
• Ensures product released documents are reviewed, approved, and released to production via Document Management System (DMS).
• Annually oversee Document Owner controlled documents to ensure accuracy and maintain overall document integrity.
• Maintains Safety Data Sheets (SDS) within Document Management System (DMS): Catalogs, Organizes Electronic Files and Distributes Hard Copies to Production Notebooks for Hazardous Materials: (Maintenance Supplies, Raw Ingredients, and Office Supplies.
• Assigns control numbers to all documents and maintains records and files of all those documents and their revisions.
In addition to hard-copy document files, designs and maintains an online database to store information and produce reports relating to company documentation.
• Processes change requests whenever a change relating to controlled documentation is needed.
Confer with document originators to resolve discrepancies and compile required changes to documents.
Maintain records of all changes and communicate changes to appropriate personnel.
• Ensures processes and procedures related to product specifications, manuals, work instructions, policies, procedures, raw ingredient specifications, lists, forms, and related technical and administrative publications and controls changes are aligned with rest of BU.
