PHILOSOPHY, PART-TIME LECTURER POOL.
The Philosophy Department at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers with positions available as determined by need and funding during the Fall, Winter and/or Spring quarters of the 2023-2024 academic year, beginning September 14, 2023.
Teaching assignments are contingent upon budget and enrollments.
Responsibilities and duties may include teaching general education courses in areas such as philosophical classics, critical thinking, and possibly some upper-division general education courses.
Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department.
Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS A Master's or ABD in Philosophy is required.
Applicants must document excellence in teaching at the college or university level.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Ph.
D.
in Philosophy is preferred.
