Instructional Aides at SLCUSD assist our teachers with a variety of instructional support tasks relating to the operation of a classroom or other instructional program, work with individual or small groups of students, and perform related duties as assigned.
This recruitment will be used to fill vacancies that arise in the District over a six-month period.

Requirements / Qualifications
Candidates who successfully pass screening and have submitted all required documents will be contacted regarding next steps for the recruitment.
Letter(s) of Recommendation (At least 1 signed letter from a professional reference (preferably drafted within the past two years, and on letterhead))
NCLB Compliance (Must submit ONE of the following: College transcript showing an AA degree or 48 semester units, OR a certificate showing a passing score on an NCLB Paraprofessional Exam.
If you do not meet this requirement, but meet other screening criteria, you will be invited to take the exam for this position.

We will use the eligibility list created by this recruitment to fill Instructional Aide positions that become available over the next six months, at school sites throughout the San Luis Coastal Unified School District.
Hours may vary.
Candidates who meet all requirements for this classification, and have submitted all requested documents, may be invited to an oral board interview.
Candidates who meet all requirements except the NCLB requirement will be invited to schedule an exam date with Human Resources.
