Job Summary:
Tutor Doctor is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill the role of 6th grade math tutor.
This is a part-time, hourly education job with a focus on helping students improve their understanding and mastery of math concepts.
As a tutor, you will work closely with students on a one-on-one basis, in person in order to provide personalized instruction and support to help them achieve their academic goals.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $35 per hour, paid biweekly.
As an individual contributor, this role also offers the opportunity for flexible working hours and the ability to work remotely.
Additionally, you will have the support of Tutor Doctor's 20 years of proven tutoring methods, webinars, videos and study skills materials to help your clients meet their goals.
Responsibilities:
• Provide personalized instruction to 6th grade students in math concepts
• Identify areas of struggle for students and create personalized lesson plans to address their individual needs
• Work closely with students to help them understand and apply math concepts through various teaching methods
• Monitor and track student progress and provide regular updates to parents and/or guardians
• Maintain a positive and motivating learning environment for students
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow tutors in order to ensure the best learning experience for students
Preferred Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or minimum 2 years of college level education in Education, Math, or related field
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred
• Strong understanding and mastery of 6th grade math concepts and Common Core teaching methodology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different learning styles
• Must pass a background check and have reliable transportation
Experience working with children with learning challenges such as autism and ADHD is a plus.
