Camp Expedition - Camp Director
Job Summary
The Camp Director is responsible for planning curriculum, engaging with campers, and ensuring that all campers are safe.
Camp Counselor Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing and implementation of activities
Set Up/breakdown of activities
Check Campers In and Out – Sign in/out sheets will be provided
Interact with campers and support participating families
Facilitate Activities
Oversee volunteers and camp staff to ensure stations have adequate coverage
Safety & Security:
Reads, learns and knows the CCASC Safety Handbook.
Promotes a safe and healthy work environment for self, persons served, other employees and community.
Ensures safe operation of Camp Expedition.
Education, Certification and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in child development, education or similar field.
Must enjoy working with neurodiverse individuals and their families.
A combination of experience and a high school degree/GED will be considered.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must have a valid Driver’s License, satisfactory DMV record and criminal record clearance through the DOJ.
Language Skills- Ability to read, ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals.
Reasoning Ability- Ability to define problems, collect information (incident reports), establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR training strongly desired.

The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Compensation: In this part-time, temporary position with a stipend of $2,800.
The stipend includes approximately 25 hours of prepping, 6 hours of staff training and 80 hours of Camp.
The camp director must be available for camp set-up on June 16th and 23rd and for the duration of camp from June 17-21 and June 24-28th.
