Position Description
Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Dean of Graduate Education, the Administrative Analyst/Specialist position provides administrative support for the office of Graduate Education and independently administers the processes for student progress to degree.
Duties include responsibility for budgets, travel coordination, administration of graduate student financial support opportunities and the administration of the budget and related office procurement and expenditures.

The Graduate Education Office provides strategic leadership and day-to-day management services to support and administer more than 40 graduate programs across the Cal Poly campus.

Key Qualifications
Perform varied or specialized administrative and analytical duties in support of the day-to-day operations of the Graduate Education program, including but not limited to student placement of financial supports and awards, tuition waivers, Graduate Equity Fellowship, Chancellor’s Doctoral Incentive Program and California Pre-Doctoral program administration.
Advise all graduate students on university policies and processes for degree completion.
Independently audit educational records to verify that university requirements have been met as the authorized representative of the Dean of Graduate Education.
Assess and design solutions in the electronic workflow to streamline progress to degree paperwork.
Education and Experience
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university.
Three years of technical or administrative experience.
A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Salary and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Range: $64,000 - $80,000 annually annually
Classification Range: $50,040 - $90,540 annually
