New hire starting range to be determined after consideration and review of application on file and any relevant years of education or job related experience.
Salary range for new hires will be $27.
47-$28.
58/hour depending on individual eligibility and placement.
Oral Board Interviews: TBD.
Must be willing to work in person.

We are establishing an eligibility list to fill vacancies for the 2023-24 school year.

Most positions are 8am-3pm Preferred: Experience working with students with disabilities TEST INFORMATION: ALL APPLICANTS MUST TEST OR SUBMIT A COPY OF TRANSCRIPT.
Applicants who possess an AA/AS Degree, or who have two full years of college coursework (48 semester units or 60 quarter units from an accredited college course with a grade of C or better will count) are not required to take the District offered written examination.
If you wish to be waived from the written examination, you must submit copies of your transcripts with your application.
If hired, you will be required to submit official transcripts.
If you do not have the required units you will be contacted to take a written examination covering mathematics and writing skills required by minimum qualifications contained in the Class Specification (NCLB Examination).
Dates and times for next offered NCLB examinations are as follows: 1/3/2024 9:00-11:00 AM; 2/7/2024 10:00-12:00 PM; 3/6/2024 9:00-11:00 AM; 4/3/2024 9:00-11:00 AM; 5/1/2024 9:00-11:00 AM.
NCLB exam is offered in person only at the District Office, 1500 Lizzie St.
San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.
If you need to take this exam, please note this on your application.
Allow 2 hours for the examination.
Minimum written passing score is 70%.
Applications will be screened and evaluated for relevant knowledge, skills, abilities and experience on a job-related basis.
Candidates who successfully pass screening and have submitted all required documents will proceed to an oral interview.
An oral interview covering personal qualifications, experience, and training is required.
Interviews are approximately 20 minutes.
Date for the OB interview TBD.
Minimum passing score is 70%.
Candidates will be contacted for a hiring interview when they have placed in the top three ranks of the oral board interviews.
If you have not placed in the top three ranks, you will be placed on the eligibility list for six months from the date of the oral boards for other vacancies that may arise during that time.
SPECIAL NOTES: 1) Correctly filling out forms and following other instructions contained in this notice are part of the testing process.
2) Applicants with disabilities need to notify the Personnel Office of any special needs so that adequate preparation may be made for their testing.
3) Veterans qualifying for the oral board examination may receive 5 additional points added to their final score if proof of discharge is submitted at time of oral board interview.
A "veteran" as used here means any person who served in the United States armed forces or National Guard in time of war or national emergency.
4) Eligibility lists are established for a period of six months.
This is a dual examination in which the resulting eligibility list shall consist of promotional and open competitive candidates.
