8 year old BLM Mustang - $4,000 (Morro bay)

Cruz is a GORGEOUS titled 2016 BLM mustang gelding from the Salt Wells Wyoming HMA.
He is 14.
2H and very stocky with great conformation and exceptional bone and feet.
He was gathered as a yearling and adopted and gentled as a 3 year old.
Cruz is a pleasure to be around.
He has great ground manners and is friendly without being pushy.
Even my 3 year old can lead him around easily.
He gets along very well with other animals and horses.
He is not alpha and prefers to mind his own business.
He does well both in a pasture environment or in a barn (with daily turnout of course).
He is an easy keeper, goes great barefoot, and has never had any health or soundness problems.
Cruz has been under saddle for several years.
However, he hasn’t had very much consistent training so I’d say under saddle I would consider him green broke.
He is not a spooky or reactive horse, and does well with obstacles.
He is more on the lazy side, more whoa than go, but he has been learning to respond to light aids and is progressing well with consistency.
We have been using a lot of Warwick Schiller and Buck Brannaman techniques and philosophies and he responds very well to that type of training.
He does have a habit of being barn sour with regards to trail riding.
Once on the trail, he is great.
He has ridden through cattle, crosses water, and walks out nicely.
However, if you are wanting to trail ride, he will need someone who can work with him on leaving and coming home.
