Hatch your own 4H show birds or rainbow laying chickens from our wide variety of fertile hatching eggs.
I can put together a fun mix of colors for you, but will also will also accomodate requests for eggs from specific pens, standard or bantam sized birds, or colors of eggs.
Eggs are sold as a half dozen or full dozen, and you may mix and match as desired.
Prices are shown by single, half dozen, and full dozen, if available.
Mixed dozen prices will vary depending on which eggs they include.

Purebred Bantam Belgian d'Uccles:
Porcelain, Mille Fleur, Frizzled Mille Fleur, Blue Mille Fleur and Mottled d'Uccle roosters over Mille Fleur, Porcelain, Blue Mille Fleur and Mottled Belgain d'Uccles.
Chicks could be Porcelain, Mille Fleur, Blue Mille Fleur, Mottled, Blue Mottled, or Golden Neck.
Some may have frizzled feathering.
Docile and easily handled 4H showmanship birds and very showy in the cage.

Purebred Appenzeller Spitzhaubens and other standard and bantam crested white egg layers:
Rare breed, new to the states, and not APA recognized for show.
Silver Spangled and Chamois (Buff Mottled) Appenzeller Spitzhauben Roosters over Silver Spangled and Chamois Appenzeller Spitzhauben hens, and Silver Lakenvelder, Bantam White Crested Blue Polish and Black Sumatra, and Turken hens.
Appenzeller chicks will be crested and Gold or Silver Spangled, Chamois (Buff Mottled) or White.
Crossed chicks will be crested and melanistic Black, and Silver or Gold Columbian.

Purebred French Black, Blue and Splash Copper Marans from Wade Jean, Bev Davis, and Greenfire Farms lines:
Black French Copper Marans Rooster and Splash French Copper Marans Rooster over unrelated Black and Blue French Copper Marans hens.
Pullets will grow up to lay the dark chocolate eggs as pictured.
$3 each, $15 per half dozen, $30 per full dozen.
*Marans eggs lighten during the laying season.
The eggs pictured here are shot in a variety of lighting, throughout the year, for an accurate representation.
Some lighten, others become speckled, and some stay consistently dark.
But all our breeding hens begin each season with those deepest 7-9 browns.
Our hens are productive, and selected for a good balance of darker eggs and consistent laying.

Olive Eggers and other large fowl, dual purpose layers of colored eggs:
Splash and Black French Copper Marans roosters over Black and Splash Ameraucana, Crested Cream Legbar, Welsummer/Legbar Olive Egger, Black and Blue Marsbars (crested Marans/Legbar Olive Eggers), Splash Olive Eggers, Easter Eggers, Welsummer, Barred Rock, Blue Australorp, Exhibition Rhode Island Red, and Whiting's True Green hens.
Most chicks will hatch out with black or blue feathering and lay large eggs in shades of darker browns and deep olive green.

I will do my best to accomodate requests for specific breeds and feather colors of of hen, however there are some eggs from the same pens that are too similar to distinguish.

Our chickens are given a high protein layer feed, oyster shell for calcium, as well as sprouted lentils and black oil sunflower seeds, black fly larvae, fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens aplenty.
They have ample coop space and full range of the yard to roam, dustbathe, and forage to their hearts' content each and every day.
