Objective
To find a well established, local company that's willing to take the time, invest in their new hire and have the patience to teach an apprentice the standard that their company holds for their clients.
Ideally being able to demonstrate my skill-set to secure a longterm, stable position with a company that rewards their employees for hard work and job completion.
Skills Installation of PV Solar systems both DC and AC, installation and maintenance of air handlers and heat pumps along with ductless systems for HVAC, beginner level electrical both rough in and finish, multiple phases of interior remodeling, fire sprinkler fitting and gas pipe meter installation using threaded, pvc and pressed fittings, property maintanence, all phases of fencing, oxy acetylene welding, SMAW welding, MIG welding, copper brazing, tendering and automotive repair and diagnostics.
Previous work experience Currently employed with Seaside Air as a HVAC Installer, Service and Maintenence professional.
We do everything from installs of A,B,C furnace cabinets to split systems and heat pump systems for residential units.
We also have a contract with Vandenberg Space Force to do their units so have military clearance.
We also service and diagnose failed and problematic residential units as well.
But this company cannot give me 40 hours a week consistently and that's the only reason I'm leaving.
My rate here is 30$ an hour and that's what I need to survive so I can't make anything less.
Axiom360 PV Solar Installer 01/23-07/23.
We do both AC and DC operated systems, EV chargers and MPU's.
Familiar with different types of footings, rails, roof materials, inverters and optimizers, different types of hardware and hooking up panels.
We do all our own electrical work.
Comfortable on roofs.
Familiar with roofing construction and materials.
(Compensation=28$ an hour.
Reason for leaving is the industry is slowing down from new laws and the owner has the highest turn over rate in the surrounding industry.
My time and sacrifice was not respected or valued.
) Peninsula Heat HVAC Installer11/21- 01-23 Installed as well as maintain and serviced air handlers, heat pumps, mini splits and split systems.
Ran and landed low voltage stat, ac condensers and heat pumps wiring, pulled all sizes of lineset, bending, welding and as well as pulling different gage wires in undesirable conditions, installed and programed thermostats as well as all types of duct work both soft and hard.
Worked in residential doing retrofits as well as new construction.
(Compensation 25$hr, ended up moving back to California for family reasons.
) Apprentice Sprinkler Fitter for Alpha Fire 08/20- 010/21 A Fire suppression company that works in all aspects of construction.
Servicing fire alarms, sprinklers and extinguishers in residential, commercial and industrial facilities.
I work with schedule 10 and 40 from ½” all the way up to 6”.
Can install, fab and read blue prints.
Can operate ridgid pipe threader as well as a groover.
(Forced layoff due to Corona virus.
Compensation 22$ an hour) Meineke mechanic/Lube Tech 03/2018- 05/20 Starting off as a lube tech for half a year I did all fluid services and tire mounting, balancing and install and removal.
Transitioning into a line technician working on belts, pulleys, water pumps, Alternators, brakes, struts, steering components and more.
Able to diagnose most common imported and domestic vehicle issues.
(Compensation 20$ hourly plus 15% commission.
Reason for leaving is the franchise was bought and owner implemented a new staff.
) Interior remodeling Apprentice Gathes interior remodeling Feb 2016- Feb 2018 I had the pleasure of getting interior remodeling experience with a local contractor and we, as a two man team, did a variety of work that included drywall installation, repair and texturing, finish and rough in electrical, stone vinear and retaining walls, cabinetry installation, appliance installation, tile installation and removal, grout work, decks, siding, roof inspections, finish carpentry for trim, doors, windows and base, window and door installation were all things my contractor and I worked on.
(Reason for leaving was contractor retired and I wasn't ready to run someone elses company.
Compensation 20$ an hour.
) Rough in Electrician Apprentice Jan 2015- Jan 2016.

Electrical Systems; Helping make a Hampton Inn in Buellton CA, I have experience wiring a room, setting up make up, staple, nail plate, label, fire caulk, setup trapeze systems for conduits, lick and stick conduits to and from panels, measure and cut accurately and efficiently, run homeruns, pull wires, set anchors into concrete or wood, and inspect wires for damages.
(This was a temporary position to assist the Foreman with additional helper position.
The project was completed.
Compensation 18$ an hour.
