Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various topics
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
- Assist with case management and preparation for litigation
- Conduct client interviews and gather relevant information
- Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Take matters to trial and try matters as needed
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.
D.
) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar of California
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Experience with legal administrative tasks, such as document management and filing
- Proficiency in using Westlaw
- Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues
- Experience in drafting legal documents, including contracts and pleadings
- Ability to litigate cases in court and negotiate settlements
