The SLT works under the supervision of the Legal Support Supervisor I and the Presiding Workers’ Compensation Judge.
DWC within the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) monitors the administration of workers' compensation claims and provides services to assist in resolving disputes with claims for workers' compensation benefits.
DWC is looking for an effective communicator willing to prepare correspondence independently.
The SLT will review and process legal documents such as case openings, pleadings, and other correspondence.
The SLT will also assist parties and litigants with inquiries and updates in person, by telephone, or email.
Additionally, the SLT will transcribe dictation from a dictating machine for reports, decisions, or orders.
This position has flexibility to telework and is expected to report to the office 3 days a week.
