Lost iPhone in box - brand new - sad face..... (San Luis Obispo)

We went to the Apple Store on Tuesday night to buy our son a new phone for Christmas, and somewhere between the store and the 842 Marsh Street Parking Garage, the phone disappeared.
We've looked everywhere for it.
We are heartbroken.
