This position requires the ability to work well with your hands, to be thorough and pay attention to detail, excellent customer service and verbal communication skills, knowledge of food production methods and the ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure.
The individual must have efficient cake decorating skills, including working with buttercream, fondant, and piping techniques.
*RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Supervise and monitor efficiency of other dessert bakers & decorators.
* Order ingredients and supplies as needed.
* Communicate any equipment repairs or problems to the Operations Manager.
* Responsible for all correspondence including emails, voicemails, and phone orders.
* Ensure all orders are fulfilled as specified in a timely manner.
* Schedule & make local deliveries.
* Use companies accounting software to generate invoices and maintain accurate records for dessert orders.
* Post daily cake production sheets.
* Update procedures as needed.
Make sure all recipes are up to date.
* Ensure all daily cleaning chores are completed.
*REQUIREMENTS*
* 2+ years of dessert baking and decorating managerial experience preferred.
* Must possess excellent customer service skills.

* Must have a valid driver’s license to be put on company’s insurance as a driver to make deliveries.
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time.
* Proof of being able to work in the US.
*GENERAL*
* Work location: 1491 Monterey Street San Luis Obispo, CA (Please note that the bakery facility will be moving locations to Grover Beach in the next 2-3 months.
Must be able to relocate).
* Full-time employment available (30-40 hours per week depending on production needs)
* Must be available to work Tuesday – Saturday.
Morning and afternoon availability is a MUST.
