Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Lead to lead and oversee all aspects of accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and reporting for Sun Day Carwash.
As the first member of our Finance team, this individual will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support our continued growth.
The Accounting Lead will report to Founder and CEO.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Oversee and ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for annual audits and tax filings.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to provide financial insights and analysis for decision-making.
Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.
Stay updated on accounting and tax regulations, ensuring compliance and making necessary adjustments to accounting policies as required.
Required Experience, Education, & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting
Currently reside in California
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience in preparing financial statements.
Proficient in accounting software (e.
g.
, QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
