Under the direct supervision of the Materials & Stores Supervisor II (M&SSII), this position supervises the collecting of soiled clothing and the issuance of clean clothing to the incarcerated persons population and sorting of same returned from the institution laundry; ordering of new replacement clothing on a weekly basis.
The M&SSI acts as a backup for staff positions assigned in Clothing Distribution, Recycling and Salvage Program and the Support Warehouse during their absence and to provide coverage for institutional workload.
Hires, evaluates, approves absences, takes administrative action, assigns and approves work, trains and directs incarcerated persons staff, maintains incarcerated persons pay and time records; submits periodic written appraisals of incarcerated persons conduct and productivity.
Act in the capacity of the Materials & Stores Supervisor II in their absence.
Other duties as assigned and required.
