This is a float MA role that requires a fast learner with strong attention to detail and a strong reliable work ethic.
This person will also be tasked to support our office with organizing supplies, scheduling repairs, cleaning and more.
*Responsibilities:* You will assist clinical staff by performing clinical and administrative duties under the direction of the Clinical Liaison Manager and communicate patient needs to the clinicians.
Your assigned clinician will change regularly, as you cover for other MA's who are unavailable.
When the clinical liaison team is fully staffed, you will be supporting the needs of the office and our practice facilities.
* Prepping charts: Assisting clinicians by gathering documents and information (obtaining measures, labs, etc.
), and updating clinicians on any information that needs immediate attention prior to appointments.
* Call patients to remind them of appointments.
* Ensuring continuity of care by following Medication Recalls protocol.
* Obtaining prior authorization for medications.
* Coordinating and facilitating hospitalization records under the supervision by the clinical manager or clinician.
* Facilitating excellent coordination of care by assisting clinician in providing referral thank you notes with the initial evaluation.
* Comprehension and compliance with all operational policies and procedures * Prepares the necessary equipment and supplies for exam.
Maintains inventory of supplies in examination rooms, replenish as required.
Maintains clean and orderly exam rooms, hallways and work areas.
* Clean and organize offices.
* Audit inventory, complete orders and organize supplies.
* Assist HR and IT with setting up new office spaces, moving furniture, verifying technical equipment on-site, etc.
* Assist the Executive Assistant with events, * Schedule and coordinate repairs and office renovations with vendors.
*Skills Required:* _Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
_ * Knowledge of Medical Terminology * Knowledge of Inventory Management Practices * Experience with Psychotropic drugs is Preferred * Professionalism - Approach others politely and tactfully; Maintain composure and react well under pressure; Treat others with respect and consideration; Accept responsibility for own actions; Follow through on commitments.
* Empathetic and caring both with patients and coworkers.
* Proficiency in Athena EMR or experience with using EMR systems.
* Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills.
* Ability to pay attention to each of our provider protocols.
* Ability to work both independently, with others, and to meet deadlines.
* Cross-trained to assist and/or fill roles as needed throughout the practice.
* Strong research and technical ability with various technology, equipment and office related functions.
* Physical requirements: Must be able to use the telephone and sit in front of a computer for long periods of time.
Bending and moving of patient files, boxes, supplies, furniture up to 75 pounds.
*Qualifications:* * Previous experience in a medical workplace: 1-4 years * Previous experience executing office administration: 2-4 years * EMR systems: 1-3 years * Vital signs: 1-3 years * Certified Medical Assistant (preferred), or attended and completed Medical Assisting Program * Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (preferred) *Salary and Benefits:* This is a full-time position with a pay range of $18.
50-$23.
00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
