Job Summary
Licensed Nurses at SLCUSD provide a variety of nursing and specialized health care procedures, administer first aid and medications to students, and perform related duties as assigned.
The current vacancy is for a 35 hour/week position, Monday through Friday.
SLCUSD has generous medical/dental/vision/retirement benefits, as well as a 19-step salary schedule for classified positions.
New employees receive a step increase after passing probation, and then annual step increases each year thereafter.

Requirements / Qualifications

Certificate Copy (Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse license issued by the California Board of Vocational Nursing OR Registered Nurse license issued by the California Board of Registered Nurses)
CPR/First Aid Certification
Driver's License Copy (Valid California)

Comments and Other Information
Start date will be as soon as possible, contingent upon fingerprint and TB clearances.
Position location is to be determined, but will be within the District (San Luis Obispo, Los Osos, and/or Morro Bay).
Nurses are assigned by Student Services and may serve more than one site.
Employees holding a position (or combination of positions) of 36 hours per week or more are required to enroll in a health benefits plan.

QUALIFICATION PROCEDURE:
The District application covering relevant knowledge, skills, abilities and experience will be evaluated on a job-related basis to determine qualifications for the position.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications in order to be eligible for hire.
