We have an immediate opening for Patient Services Representative primarily at our SLO location.
San Luis Obispo Eye Associates is dedicated to providing a full spectrum of the highest quality medical and surgical eye care and serve our patients in a timely, cost-effective and courteous manner.
SLO Eye Associates is a multi-specialty Ophthalmology/Optometry practice with locations in SLO and Templeton, celebrating 25 years in business!
Monday – Friday 730-6:00 Availability.
The Patient Services Representative is the first impression of the practice and plays a key role in the day-to-day business affairs of SLO Eye Associates.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Answer telephones and direct calls as needed.
• Patient scheduling
• Managing physicians’ schedules, filling gaps, re-arranging as needed for better flow for physicians and patients.
• Daily cash control of front office operations, including cash drawer balance.
• Check patients in/out including use of EMR to tag patients and print out visit summary to be given to patient at check out.
• Collect all co-payments, deductibles, refraction fees, etc.
at the time of visit.
• Monitor and distribute all incoming faxes and deliveries.
• Back up Medical Records Clerk.
• Other tasks assigned by Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
• High school diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be able to bend, stand or sit for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must type 45 wpm
All healthcare personnel are now required to show proof of vaccination prior to their first day of employment.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Customer Service.
• Demonstrated ability to work with Computer Systems.
• Demonstrated proficiency in time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in communications skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively convey ideas and information.
• Must be able and willing to achieve goals with tenacity, compassion and a sense of humor.
• Must have demonstrated ability to successfully work with physicians and office personnel.
Compensation: DOE + competitive benefits package
