After using this guitar for my main, performance instrument, it's time to upgrade!
About a year ago, I purchased this guitar for strumming at local, open-mic gatherings, in order to keep my "musical-chops" alive.
Despite being a guitar meant for a child or beginning guitar-player, this little guitar has served me quite well during my numerous performances!
3/4-sized guitars are excellent choices for traveling musicians as well as younger guitarists.
They are compact, lightweight, and portable, which make them great companions on-the-road as well as for small hands.
As you know, especially with acoustic guitars, size matters, and it is not easy to find a small, affordable guitar that sounds good.
It must be noted that this guitar is not suitable for big-handed players, and it is a beginner-level guitar with basic features.
Its high build-quality, decent tone, and comfortable, low-action playability elevate this guitar to a level of a great instrument in its low-cost price range.
This Donner Guitar incorporates a passive, DSS-mini Neodymium Pickup, with tone and volume controls (no battery needed).
The guitar is constructed with an all-Mahogany, 3-piece body.
The fretboard is made of Purpleheart Wood.
The neck is a standard "D-Shape" with a matte satin finish.
The 43mm nut and saddle of the guitar are made of bone.
This Donner is not as loud as a full-sized, dreadnought guitar and the low-end is not as dominant, but it sounds highly warm and natural with great mids and highs.
Made in China by the Donner Company who manufactures many types/models of instruments.
Includes near-new, Gator Company, molded case (identical size/shape as a Taylor GS Mini Guitar).
Asking $175.
