Need nice simple room to rent (Paso Robles, CA)

Hello, I am moving out of the last apartment due to my house mate developing a mental condition that causes him to have uncontrollable arguments with people he hears in his head.
We have shared an apartment for about three years and have been friends however, I just can't handle the negativity and need to be able to get sleep without using ear buds that keep me from hearing my phone if work calls.
He is getting help however I just can't live with this anymore.
I am looking or a room to rent simply because I don't want to spend more for a place that I'm not going to be at often and I don't' have a lot of personal belongings.
I don't drink, do drugs and no criminal record.
Credit score is almost 700.
Most, if not all of my social activates revolve around Coop gaming, Call of Duty (Headphones) and I have a lot of friends all over the world through Virtual Reality.
I had a place lined up however the current tenant has not moved out yet.
I've told my current Housemate that I would be moving, and he is being very kind however the sooner I get a place the sooner he can find someone else or use the room in whatever way he wants.
even though he has been very offensive to me due to his condition, I am still his friend and I need to finish what I told him I would do and move out.
