*JOB DESCRIPTION*
Splash Cafe is looking for an outgoing individual to help give our customers the ultimate Splash Experience.
The Dessert Manager must be proficient in cake decorating, baking procedures and techniques, as well as Splash Cafes policies and procedures.
The purpose of the Dessert Manager is to ensure customer satisfaction regarding all custom & wedding cakes, all in-house desserts, as well as all desserts sold online.
The primary focus of this position is to prepare, produce, bake, decorate, and maintain quality control & consistency.
The Dessert Manager is also in charge of monitoring the productivity and efficiency of the other Dessert Bakers.
All managers at Splash Café are expected to work in accordance with the Splash Core Values and are also expected to participate in marketing projects as needed.

*COMPANY HISTORY*
In 1991, Joanne and Ross Currie purchased Splash Café in Pismo Beach, CA.
Over the next 30 years they became well known for winning the 1st place award for their Clam Chowder at the annual Clam Festival.
The cafe now serves more than 40,000 gallons of chowder a year, and they have been featured in several national and international publications and TV shows.
Their success has led them to opening a full-service bakery in San Luis Obispo in 2005 where they provide bread and baked goods to the café and to be shipped nationwide to our customers.
*GENERAL*
* Work location: 1491 Monterey Street San Luis Obispo, CA (PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BAKERY WILL BE MOVING TO GROVER BEACH IN THE NEXT 4 – 5 MONTHS).
* Full-time employment available (30-40 hours per week depending on production needs)
* Must be available to work Tuesday – Saturday.
Morning and afternoon availability is a MUST!
*GENERAL REQUIREMENTS*
* 2+ years of dessert baking and decorating managerial experience preferred.
* Proof of being able to work in the US.
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time.
* Must possess excellent customer service skills.
* Must be available to work Tuesday – Saturday.
Morning and afternoon availability is a MUST!
* Must have a valid driver’s license to be put on company’s insurance as a driver to make deliveries.

*RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Supervise and monitor efficiency of other dessert bakers & decorators.
* Order ingredients and supplies as needed.
* Communicate any equipment repairs or problems to the Operations Manager.
* Responsible for all correspondence including emails, voicemails, and phone orders.
* Ensure all orders are fulfilled as specified in a timely manner.
* Schedule & make local deliveries.
* Use companies accounting software to generate invoices and maintain accurate records for dessert orders.
* Post daily cake production sheets.
* Update procedures as needed.
Make sure all recipes are up to date.
* Ensure all daily cleaning chores are completed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.
00 - $26.
00 per hour
