COVE Lifestyle + Design is a full service interior design studio and home decor boutique located in the heart of Pismo Beach.
COVE offers their customers and clients a diverse collection of furniture, accessories, art work, lighting, and other goods inspired by life on the California coast.
The COVE team collaborates with customers to create one of a kind spaces, beautiful homes, and memorable experiences.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position ideally is suited for someone with a strong passion for home decor and sales.
The candidate should also have excellent creative thinking skills and be a self starter.
Strong customer service skills are also important in creating a memorable experience from the time a customer enters the store to the time they leave.
In this role you will be able to help customers' with their design issues, as well as merchandise and style the store under the direction of the owner.
*Strong sales skills are a MUST!!!* The candidate should be comfortable communicating with customers via email, phone, and in person in order to assess their needs and offer suggestions and feedback.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
\* Oversee customer shopping experience from start to finish.
\* Act as product expert to recommend best product for customers needs.
\* Ensure sales floor is adequately presented and stocked.
\* Ring sales and understand the POS system and its abilities.
\* Follow up on all orders and estimates, order flow, raise any client issues or order issues immediately to leadership for assistance in solving.
\* Provide feedback to store owner and store manager.
\* Understand and know all operational procedures for daily operations.
\* Support store manager/owner with all daily operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
\* 1+ years of retail sales experience, background in home decor and interiors is preferred, but not necessary.
\* GREAT communication skills both verbal and written with a willingness to engage with clients.
\* Strong networking skills and the ability to follow up with clients.
\* Knowledge of Lightspeed Retail is a plus.
\* Knowledge of Photoshop is a plus.
\* Proficiency with Mac Operating System, Excel and/or Numbers and Google Applications.
\* Accuracy and attention to detail.
\* Be a team player and able to take initiative when necessary.
\* Ability to lift or move large items throughout the store, up to 50lbs.
\* MUST have weekend availability!
\* Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
\* Ability to climb ladders.
\* Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
\*MUST live in the San Luis Obispo area!
