Native Trails, a fast-growing kitchen & bath manufacturer and certified B Corporation, is looking to add a new member to our Operations team in our Woodshop.
The right candidate will have experience with woodworking and all the tools associated with that medium.
Cabinet making experience is preferred.
Thinking outside the box to problem solve is a must and communicating realistic deadlines and needs is key to success.
Pay range $25 to $29 an hour.
Responsible for maintaining safety in the woodshop.
The Production & Woodworking Lead is well-versed in cabinetry as well as a variety of products.
This position requires flexibility and clear communication.
Organize, result-driven, problem solving and communication skills are vital.
Assemble and install drawers in wood vanities according to provided specifications.
Assists in applying finishes, including minor repairs, to product.
Loads, unloads and transfers merchandise to designated areas in accordance with safety procedures.
Stocks merchandise in the warehouse.
Inspects products for defects or damage prior to assembly.
Builds, assembles and paints sets for tradeshow display booths and photo-shoots.
Assists in shipment preparation/arrangement as needed.
Prepares special promotional packages as needed.
Always maintains a neat and orderly workplace including moving pallets, sweeping, and removing/disposing of debris.
Follows all safety procedures in accordance with approved training and reports any dangerous conditions to management immediately.
Plans and prioritizes woodshop and production to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
Determines manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production and shipping demand.
Monitors productions orders to ensure they will be completed according to schedule.
Determines the purchasing needs of the woodshop.
Ensures proper authorizations have been obtained prior to order placement.
Contacts suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries, resolve any delivery issues and discrepancies.
Collaborates with Operations and other departments.
Takes an active part in the continuous improvement of all Operations.
Responsible for all woodshop productions.
Communicates all issues and problems to the appropriate personnel.
Receive production orders and delegate to woodshop staff to fulfill tradeshow requirements and customer orders.
Set up and calibrate wood cutting machines to ensure that they are in good working conditions.
Understand detailed architectural drawings, schematics, shop drawings and blueprints Operate woodworking machines, including saws and milling and sanding machines Ensure that products meet industry standards and project specifications, making adjustments as necessary Other Duties Other duties as assigned.

Language Ability: Fluency in English is required.
Fluency in Spanish highly desired.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions and warehouse environment may be subject to seasonal temperature conditions.

Equipment This position requires familiarity with standard woodshop tools such as but not limited to: table saws, chop saws, all standard woodworking hand tools and skil saw.
