Automotive Mechanic/Lube Tech at San Luis Auto Repair & SMOG.
Entry level with some previous training is accepted, the more experience, education, tools, and valid CDL the higher the starting pay.
Are you searching for a career instead of just a job? We are offering a full-time, automotive mechanic/lube tech position at our shop downtown, San Luis Obispo.
REQUIREMENTS;
Automotive technical education preferred
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Valid CDL driver's license
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
Automotive computer experience a plus
SMOG Licence a plus
QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of hands-on education and/or repair experience preferred
Knowledge of A/C systems, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance helpful
ASE Certifications preferred
Basic mechanic's tools preferred
Experienced mechanics are encouraged to apply
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform annual inspections, perform preventative maintenance
Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently
Evaluate mechanical problems in vehicles using diagnostic equipment
Removal and replacement of various car parts
Understand the theory and be capable of disassembling, assembling, and troubleshooting
Compensation: Pay is based on experience, education, training, tools, and performance
