Maintenance Technician Job Description
Perform maintenance at 56-unit condominium project.
Primary responsibilities include plumbing, minor electrical, gas heater maintenance, routine spa maintenance, and light groundskeeping.
Common tasks include toilet repair and replacement, clogged pipes, replacing exterior and interior light fixtures or ceiling fans, troubleshoot in-room electrical issues, replace thermostats, replace shower and other plumbing fixtures or valves, and installing/troublehooting keypad door locks.
Since most units have wall-mounted gas heaters of a similar type, the position would require learning those units and becoming versatile in making repairs and prolonging their longevity.
Carpentry and other general skills would be helpful, ranging from replacing door frames to repairing, retexturing and painting drywall.
Contractors are used for tasks that exceed a certain skill level or magnitude.
Position is designed to be full-time, but we have some flexibility in making it possible that the job could be reduced to about 20 hours/week on a scheduled basis (by excluding groundskeeping and other less technical tasks) to allow the successful candidate to maintain a handyman business with other clients.
