United Staffing Associates is partnered with a growing company seeking an experienced Driller/Rig Operator to oversee drilling operations and assist with leadership of the crew.
The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality.
The role is a physically demanding position requiring overtime and double-time, extended work weeks, and out-of-area travel as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain drill rigs, supplies, tools, machinery and equipment.
• Lead a team of rig hands, and train and mentor crew members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Plan and coordinate drilling activities according to project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
• Monitor progress, troubleshoot and make adjustments, escalate issues as necessary.
• Practice and enforce safety protocols and regulations, ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with and follow the instruction of field leadership to achieve project objectives.
• Track jobsite data and complete reports as necessary.
Qualifications:
• 1+ year proven experience as a Driller/Rig Operator
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire crew members.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime (12+ hour shifts) including overnight shifts.
• Ability to travel to worksites outside of the area for extended periods of time.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Commercial License Class A or B a plus.
Pay $25/hr (Will consider reasonable salary request based on experience.
