Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other contract documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed material and labor cost estimates.
- Research and select appropriate vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Prepare bid proposals and negotiate costs with Manufactures
- Collaborate with project management teams to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
- Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar tools to streamline the estimating process.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
- Proficient in using construction estimating software such as Bluebeam or HeavyBid.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
