Job Title: Junior Engineer
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with engineering design project planning (i.
e.
, conceptual design through construction drawing development)
Complete code required energy compliance and LEED certifications
Conduct load calculations, energy analysis, economic analysis, design and layout of equipment, duct and piping system design
Complete applications engineering including psychometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and controls systems
Assist with coordination of design and installation with Project Management, Applied, Retrofit, Refrigeration, Automation, and Service departments
Field engineering: assist with project execution, site surveys, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem solving
Some 2D drafting of mechanical systems utilizing the latest AutoCAD software
Assist or complete project estimating, proposal writing, and client interaction
Other duties as assigned by Manager or Executive(s)
Job Specifications: (incl.
Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.
)
BS in Mechanical Engineering
EIT and desire to obtain a PE license a plus
Experience with HVAC and/or Plumbing Engineering design a plus
Excellent understanding of Engineering fundamentals
Working knowledge of the California Codes a plus
Some proficiency in AutoCAD; 3D modeling experience a plus
Ability to interact effectively with others in team environments
High sense of integrity
Leadership skills a plus
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Self-starter and strong desire to succeed
Individual must be a responsible person, able to multi-task and regular attendance is required.
Some overtime may be required to meet deadlines.
