Job Summary
As a Mechanic with the Buildings, Grounds, and Transportation Department with SLCUSD, you will perform minor and major mechanical repairs and maintenance on diesel, natural gas, and gasoline-powered vehicles and light and heavy equipment; will independently perform routine mechanical repair and maintenance work; will serve as a substitute school bus driver as required; and will perform related duties as assigned.

The candidate selected for the Mechanic position must possess, or have the ability to obtain during the probationary period, a California commercial driver license and a School Bus Driver Certificate.
The candidate selected will also be required to participate in District-provided training for Forklift Operator Certification.
