Facilities Maintenance Technician

As a Facilities Mechanic you will work with our Facilities Department to assist production and management in the maintenance of equipment, repair of machinery and overall upkeep of the facility.
Mechanics report to the Facilities Supervisor, and the Director of Manufacturing.
Duties: Perform preventative maintenance on machines and factory equipment according to defined schedules and procedures.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment throughout the facility Document repairs and work completed in the repair log in a timely manner.
Operate a wide variety of metal and wood cutting tools, pallet jack, fork lift, etc.
Bring recommendations for upgrades to management's attention.
Perform any facility upkeep as needed.
Assist in fabrication and assembly of new equipment and work stations Address supervisor requests courteously and in a timely manner.
Keep workstations and department inventory organized.
Perform basic welding on special projects when needed.
Requirements: Excellent knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Strong understanding of pneumatic tools and related components.
Basic welding, fabrication and plumbing skills Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
Experience working in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines and to handle related pressure in a professional manner.
Proficient at using a computer to search for technical information online and to document work Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail Experience maintaining and/or programming CNC machines, robotics and PLCs is a plus
