Improve habitat for Steelhead Trout, California Red-legged Frog, Morro Shoulderband Snail, Marsh Sandwort, and Morro Manzanita by removing invasive Cape Ivy, Ice Plant, Poison Hemlock, and other noxious herbs.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to access a unique floodplain that is not normally open to the public, learn about native plants in this region, and perform community service that would otherwise go undone.
Volunteers should note that this project site is home to active mountain lions and muddy crossings.
Therefore, volunteers must be 15 years of age or older.
Volunteers should bring a refillable water bottle, closed-toe shoes (or waterproof boots if you have them), hat, sunscreen, long-sleeve shirt, long pants, sunglasses, and extra snacks.
Look for signs that say "WSP" along Turri Road and watch out for a pre-event email! Parking will be at (35°19'34.
9"N 120°48'30.
8"W).
