com *The opportunity* In this multi-faceted role you will get the opportunity to work in both the Software Engineering development environment building desktop applications in Java as well as Embedded Systems world developing for microcontroller’s.
*Accountabilities* * Work with stakeholders to refine requirements.
* Maintain, debug, and diagnose current embedded systems.
* Develop firmware in C++ for ARM core microcontrollers.
* Utilize an RTOS to manage simultaneous activities on microcontrollers.
* Develop applications using Object Oriented design patterns in both Java and C# * Build desktop applications that interface with downhole logging tools for data capture as well as command and control.
*Qualifications Required to be successful* * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar * 4 years hands on experience developing software and firmware in a professional setting * Strong communications skills with an outgoing and enthusiastic attitude * Ability to logically break down a problem into actionable components *Desirable* * Working with firmware diagnostics equipment such as DMM, Oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers * Background in working with Linux OS * Experience with Real Time Operating Systems * Experience with FPGA design * Willing to occasionally go to the field to support engineering trials of equipment * Open to International Travel *Why IMDEX is an Exciting Place to Work* At IMDEX we call it the ‘X Factor’.
