Our law firm is seeking a Family Attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence.

Responsibilities:
Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date
Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings
Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.
D.
degree are required
Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association)
Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred
Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required
