8 AM - 4 PM Sober Coach *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* The Medical Support Staff plays a vital role in providing essential medical care and support to clients individuals who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The primary focus of this position is to ensure the safety and well-being of clients during their stay at the sobering center, and provide appropriate care as needed.
* Observe and assess clients upon admission to the sobering center for signs of intoxication and withdrawal symptoms.
* Ensure that the facility has clean and comfortable beds ready for incoming clients.
* Actively engages in collaborative efforts with fellow staff members to ensure that clients receive the necessary support they require.
* Monitor medication administration to clients as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
Ensure proper documentation and adherence to medication schedules, and monitor any side effects or reactions.
* Conduct regular wellness checks and monitor vital signs to ensure the clients' medical conditions remain stable throughout their stay.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and progress notes.
* Ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility, including high surface areas.
* Maintain high ethical standards in all aspects of the role.
Adhere to professional codes of conduct, respect client confidentiality, and prioritize the well-being and rights of clients at all times.
* Prepare meals and snacks for clients.
* Be prepared to respond to crisis situations promptly and effectively, providing immediate assistance and access to appropriate resources when needed.
* Responsible for promptly notifying the manager of any work orders that need to be submitted or supplies that need to be ordered.
* Transports clients in the agency-provided vehicle for appointments as required.
* Conducts UA testing for clients as needed.
* Responsible for attending staff meetings, ensuring timely completion of training, and accurately completing timecards.
* Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
* Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
